Hazle Farm Barns were formerly part of Hazle Farm which dates back to the Domesday Book and has literary connections, with owners including an uncle of Jonathan Swift in the 17th Century who wrote Gulliver's Travels and Jacob Tonson, a publisher whom is also recorded as being secretary of the famous Kit-Cat Club, a London dining club for prominent Whigs of the time. The farm has been farmed by many notable families including a branch of the Elton family of Clevedon Court during the 15th Century and more recently it has been farmed for more than 50 years by the same family.
Hazle Farm Barns consists of 9 barn conversions which are set in approximately 5 acres including mature apple orchards.
